Santa Clara County Parks are hosting sites for National River Cleanup Day!

National River Cleanup is a national day of action to protect our rivers, watersheds, and wildlife from trash and debris. Since its inception in 1991, American Rivers have engaged more than 1.3 million volunteers who have participated in thousands of cleanups across the country, covering more than 261,000 miles of waterways and removing more than 32.5 million pounds of litter and debris.

Check the details below to see where and when they will be held, just be sure to pre-register since locations fill up quickly and walk-ups cannot always be accommodated.

No special skills are required for this event. Please bring a filled water bottle and sunscreen. Standard adult sized work gloves and pick up sticks are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.

Help Park Staff beautify Stevens Creek and the Stevens Creek Reservoir by removing trash, pulling weeds, or completing other rewarding projects.

Please bring a water bottle, work gloves if you have them, and wear layers and closed toed shoes (boots work best).

There are many ways to keep your park beautiful! If you are looking to get outside and connect with new people right in your backyard, this is the opportunity for you! California native plants play an important role in the health of our parks. To help them thrive, we have to work together to remove non-native and invasive plants.

Locations include Hellyer Park's Velodrome, Dog Park, and east side of Cottonwood Lake. The Maintenance Crew has greatly appreciated the work that volunteers have done all around the main park over the past year, so keep it up!

Please bring a water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and work gloves if you have them.

Drop in between 12-4pm to discover how citizens of Spanishtown, Englishtown and the Chinese communities toiled and thrived above and below the earth’s surface during the heyday of mercury mining in the late 1880s – early 1900s. $2/person suggested donation.
